Watch repair — batteries, bands, crystals and full movement service — is done by a small number of watchmakers and jewelers, and a map search mixes them in with every store that sells watches. Every shop in this list names watch repair or a watchmaker in its business name, listing or on its own website.

Common questions
How often should a mechanical watch be serviced?
Watch brands commonly recommend a full service every five to ten years, depending on the movement and how the watch is worn. Service sooner if the watch gains or loses a lot of time, the power reserve drops, or moisture appears under the crystal.
Will replacing a watch battery affect water resistance?
It can. Opening the case back disturbs the gasket, so a watch rated for swimming or diving should get a new gasket and a pressure test after the battery change. Many watch repair shops offer the test on the spot.
